Delete your account

The short version

  1. Delete your account any time in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.
  2. Your profile, posts and comments disappear from MySocify straight away.
  3. We erase your personal data within 30 days.
  4. Deleting is permanent. Your account and posts cannot be recovered.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open MySocify and go to your profile.
  2. Tap the menu at the top right to open Settings.
  3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm, and your account is deleted.

Delete it without the app

Send an email to support@mysocify.com from the email address on your account, with “Delete my account” as the subject and your username in the message. We reply to confirm, then delete the account.

What gets deleted

Your profile, photos, videos, posts, comments, likes, follows and saved posts, along with your sign-in sessions on every device.

What we keep, and for how long

  • We erase your personal data within 30 days of deletion. Backups that still contain it are overwritten within a further 30 days.
  • We may keep a limited record where the law or safety requires it, such as a record of a serious rule violation.
  • Your username is held for 30 days, then it may become available to someone else.

Delete some data, keep your account

  • Delete any post or comment from its menu.
  • Remove details from your profile in Edit profile.
  • Unlike, unfollow or remove saved posts at any time.
